A day in the life: *

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building high-performing, quality, enterprise-grade applications in Agile methodology. You will be working on both greenfield and existing projects with a focus on Financial Institutions products.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, build and test frontend and backend applications within agreed schedule, adhering to development processes and quality standards
• Work collaboratively across teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Takes ownership of feature development by coordinating: resolution of doubts and gaps in the requirements, schedules, priorities, and other dependencies
• Participate in release and sprint planning sessions by providing accurate estimates for tasks, and providing alternative solutions along with corresponding advantages and disadvantages.
• Contribute to continuous delivery processes and activities
• Supports internal and external teams by providing documentation and assistance tools, as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Timely reporting of progress status, including any identified risks or issues.
• Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments and applications
• Comply with PEXA corporate and compliance policies

Skills and Experience:

• JavaScript / Typescript
• Golang (nice to have)
• CSS / SASS / HTML
• AWS: IAM, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, EC2
• NoSQL Database experience: DynamoDB, Elastic Search
• API development: REST, GraphQL
• Serverless: serverless.io, AWS SAM, CloudFormation
• Git
• Authentication: OAuth2, OIDC, jwt
• Bamboo, Python or Java and Jira experience would be desirable
